               Open Rug Hooking
Having a group to rug hook with is a great way to stay motivated and be inspired.  Bring a lunch and stay the day or just an hour or two.  It’s such fun to share our hobby!!  Note the date change, we will now meet on the 3rd Thursday of the month.
                      Every 3rd Thursday  10 to 3
                  Wool Applique Club
Second Tuesday of each month from 10 to 2.  We are all working on various wool applique projects.  Bring a project you are working on or choose a pattern and I will get a kit together for you.  Enjoy a lunch break at one of Ripon’s great restaurants.

  Block of the Month
This is the block of the month that started at the end of March.  This can be done as wool applique as shown or as a stitchery.  The cost will be just $8.00 per block, that includes pattern, background fabric and the wools.  This kit can be sent to you or if you have never worked with wool and would like some help or you just like the fun of a class I have two class options available.   4th Tuesday 10 to 2 or the 4th Saturday of the month 9 to 12.
These blocks can be made into a quilt as shown in the original pattern or I think they are perfect as a calendar topper featuring a different flower each month.  My friend Lanie Krentz has made this calendar frame that the blocks slide into to feature that month’s floral applique.  You can create your own 8 x 11 calendar pages that are held in place on the lower half of the frame
The frame is available for $42.00

       Primitive Rug Hooking
Primitive rug hooking uses ‘off the bolt’ and hand dyed wool cut into 1/4 inch wide strips and then pulled through the backing fabric with a rug hook.  I think this is a very relaxing and creative hobby.

Think the Dresden is just another boring traditional block?  Think again!  This version of the Dresden Plate is unlike any you have ever seen.  Using an innovative piecing and folding technique this quilt will have a 3 dimensional look to it that you will love.  Make it scrappy or more planned either way it is sure to be a hit.  Pat Ehrenberg, instructor.

                                  Need’l Love Club
I have always loved the projects in the Need’l Love books, whether they are quilting, rug hooking, wool applique or a stitchery.  Each month a different Need’l Love Threads book will be featured along with an optional kitted project.  The special feature of this club is that you get a new Need’l Love book each month for only $12.00, these books are normally $20.00 to $25.00 each.   You may choose to do the featured project of the month, choose a differnet project from the book of the month, or simply add a great book to your collection.  Let me know if you would like to join this club so that I will have enough books on hand.  Below are the first 4 books.  The kits will be priced according to that month’s project.  We will begin working on these projects Thursday January 26 from 10 to 2 and then the 4th Thursday of each month during 2012.  No need to be present to join, you can have it mailed or just pick up at the store.   Did I mention that the first book is my gift to you?
