Block of the Month

This design is from the book ‘Simply Vintage’ by Blackbird Designs. I have done it all in wool, naturally. The background is a luxuriously soft 16 oz. black wool. The wool for the appliques are from the Mary Flanagan hand-dyed collection. I have the blocks finished and hanging in the shop. I will be adding a vine and leaf border also. The finished size is approx. 90” x 90” and there are 9 - 20” blocks with a 14” border. Choose 1 block and make a pillow or choose 4 for a sofa size quilt or do all 9 blocks.

The cost is $25.00 for the book, $25.00 for each block, and $60.00 for the border. Join in the monthly class or simply pick up your blocks or have them mailed to you. Join at any time!

Continuing on the 2nd Monday or the 3rd Saturday of each month.

New Items
New at the Shop!

Aurifil Lana - This is a 50% wool - 50% acrylic thread that is great to use for wool applique, both for hand stitching and in the machine.  This thread gives punch needle embroidery work even more of a textured look.

Need’l Love Wools from Andover Fabrics.  I’m just getting this in, starting with a nice subtle off-white window pane, great for over dying.  More coming soon!

Halcyon Rug Yarn - This is a great yarn for rug hooking, whipping the edge of a rug, knitting and felting, or dying your own colors.   I am able to order any of the yarns from the Halcyon Signature Collection, which includes not only gorgeous wools but also cotton, silk, and linen in a variety of weights.  Visit www.halcyonyarn.com/signatureyarns.html
